Easter Decoration

As every year I'm decorating my Easter Tree with my stitched Easter eggs. The tiny spots are from my Austrian Spot Sampler and I stitched this Easter Eggs some years ago as little try-out during the process of designing the Austrian Spot Sampler.

They are finished quickly and here's a little spot if you want to make one for your Easter Tree!

I'm close to the finishing of my new sampler. It's again a traditional sampler with traditional motives of my region but I have choosen black and muted pink silks - like my motto "Tradition with Future". Not sure how to write in English, but maybe something like
" create new things with the preservation of the good, old traditon"
hopefully I can show the finished model soon!

So it's time to start new things, here you can see what I always love viewing before I start creating a new design. I pull out old stitchings and sometimes a special color is catching my eyes, somtimes a special stitch or a border and I start drawing and stitching never sure how the finished piece will look like. Sometimes I'm wondering if our stitching what we are creating now will be pulled out from next generations also?? And will become inspriations for them?? We never will know, but isn't it a wonderful thought?

Valentin fob

I has been directed to this lovely blog
Where I have found the first finished picture of the Valentin freebie. I always love viewing pictures of my finished designs. I have asked for posting a picture on my blog and have got the permission. Isn't it a lovely finish as a fob only with the center part!

Back with a little free Valentin design!

I know it has been a long time that you have heard some news from me.
Sorry, but hopefully it will become another more creative year 2012!
I want to say hello again with a little Valentin Freebie!
I just have finished the stitching and for the friends which are familiar with my way of designing (I'm designing with needle and thread first and after that I'm doing the charting on the paper) I will post the chart for this freebie later this week when it will be finished. So please come back if you like a little Valentin stitching and I would be glad if you post a little comment. You know designing and stitching without my friends is only half the fun! Have a great week!

Mother's Day present

I got a lovely Mother's Day present. I have got a swiss wood heart with a flower from the garden. Isn't it lovely? The swiss wood smells wonderful. I love hearts and this is perfect to put a seasonal flower in it! I also had a perfect golf round with my DH yesterday, so you see I have spent a great Mother's Day :-)

Take Time....

...to Enjoy the Simple Things in Life

Yesterday I couldn't stop till the model stitching on my new sampler design was finished.
And today I want to share with you the first picture.
The sampler has a stitch count from 110x132 and is primary stitched with Gentle Art Sampler Threads on 32 count raw linen.
The saying is stitched one over one. I really have enjoyed the stitching and designing and I hope you will enjoy it also. It should be available soon at your LNS.
